Community Centre Progress

Construction started May 21, 2008 with the pilings being drilled.

Approximately 70 people attended including local residents, children from the preschool, and community members who have donated to the project.

On Tuesday June 17, 2008 our MLA Ray Prins presented a cheque to Mayor Cammidge at the Council meeting for the Major Communities Facility Program Grant in the amount of $500,000. This provincial funding was approved in April 2008 and is tabulated into the fundraising “thermometer” prior to the Groundbreaking Ceremony.
