The Bashaw Arena is the perfect spot to enjoy recreational skating or if you play sports like hockey and ringette. The arena is open to the public and is also available to rent for events and tournaments.

The Bashaw Arena can accommodate both hockey and ringette, as ice markings are laid out for both.

Arena Use Agreements

Please read the booking guidelines and review the Arena & Recreational Facility Use Policy before booking the arena.

You must also complete the Arena Use Agreement or the Occasional User Arena Agreement and submit it with the applicable rental fees and damage deposit to the Town Office before your booking is approved. A damage deposit is required for all rentals.

Booking Information & Guidelines

Ice is typically ready by October 1st each year. However, you can contact the Town Office closer to ice season for a more accurate date to confirm.

All rental and damage deposit fees must be paid to the Town Office at the time of booking and must be accompanied by our Booking Arena Rental Agreement or our Occasional User Arena Agreement. Before completing the booking process, please review the Arena and Recreational Facility Use and Allocation Policy. Be sure to read the agreement and policy carefully. Please also review the fees below.

Cancellations

In accordance with the Arena and Recreational Facility Use and Allocation Policy, we require 5 days’ notice for cancellations. Please also reference the policy for cancellations in the event of inclement weather.

If you are unable to make your ice time, please call the office at 780-372-3911. If you must cancel after office hours, please email:   arena(at)townofbashaw.com   and   CC:   admin(at)townofbashaw.com.

You can view the arena calendar to find ice availability. Please email   bookingbashaw(at)gmail.com   to request ice time.

*Do not book ice times through the arena attendants, as they are not able to guarantee availability.
